TD GREEN STREETS PROGRAM

The TD Green Streets program is the flagship of Tree Canada. It was established in 1994. It has already funded 479 urban forestry initiatives.
Who can apply? Canadian Municipalities, First Nations and Business Improvement Areas in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.
Funding? Projects can apply for up to $15,000 for their project.
Project Types:
Innovative urban forest planning
Single tree and forest stand innovation demonstration projects
Policy and best management practices workshops
Outreach and educational activities on innovative practices including arboricultural practices
Innovative management tools to protect and maintain the urban forest
Innovative urban design which showcases “green infrastructure” using trees, shrubs and other plants as an integral part of urban design such that the environmental health and quality of life for communities in maximized.
